Abstract

Despite their slow practical adoption, MANETs will play much more important role in the future Internet, especially the emerging Internet of Things. Routing in such network is much different comparing traditional networks. So far a variety of protocols exists with no clear leader. The paper tries to add some more information among existing ad-hoc routing protocol performance comparison, namely amongst AODV. DSR and OLSR. The open-source software tool OMNET++ has been used for simulation and some results are presented showing slight precedence of OLSR as the proactive protocol in the simulated cases.
