Abstract

Just as with asteroids, eclipsing binary star lightcurves can be used to create models of a system, including the relative sizes of the stars, their approximate temperatures, and if one or both have starspots. This chapter gives a brief introduction into binary star modeling using the popular program Binary Maker 3.
