Abstract
Failure to communicate is rarely a good thing. At a personal level, it can ruin a relationship; at a national level, it can lead to war and strife. The same is true in our own bodies. Diseases like diabetes are the direct result of failure to communicate. Our bodies are very big, and our cells are very small, so they need to talk to one another to make sure that everyone is working towards the same goals. But when this communication breaks down, it causes deadly problems.
