Abstract

Despite many achievements, there are still issues and problems to resolve in the field of infectious endocarditis: determining the value of new imaging technology, need for more studies on antiobiotic therapy and antibiotic prophylaxis, solidifying the use of the endocarditis team approach, focus on early diagnosis, early antibiotic therapy, and early surgical intervention.
