Abstract
Cutaneous manifestations of viral infections in pediatric patients can provide the first critical clues to disease development. While often self-limiting, viral infections can cause serious morbidity and mortality in vulnerable pediatric populations. In this chapter, we review the clinical presentation, differential diagnosis and treatment of hand foot mouth disease, neonatal herpes simplex virus infection, disseminated varicella zoster in an immunocompromised patient and Lipschütz ulcers.
