Protocols for Cardiac MR and CT

Abstract

CMR has been proven to provide important information, exceeding that of other diagnostic methods, due to its ability to characterise tissue, which permits not only accurate diagnosis of heart muscle diseases but also stratification of cases with useful prognostic value. The CMR approach and the recognition of image patterns in patients with cardiomyopathy are discussed in this chapter.
