Abstract

In 2002, the Institute of Medicine noted that healthcare disparities exists and that these disparities hurt minority patients. The important question is how do we has healthcare providers decrease these disparities. How do we as critical care providers deliver the type of care that empowers are patients and truly reduce these disparities?
