Abstract
Larger-scale traumatic events are overwhelming. Clinicians who are deployed on sites to assist a large group of people must operate at various levels simultaneously. With an emphasis on promoting safety throughout the entire process, this chapter addresses the biopsychosocial components of an emergency team response, including triaging, psychological first aid, communication with media, and self-care.
