Abstract
Primary urethral adenocarcinomas are extremely rare with incidence rates that are less than 1 per million annually. Most are clear cell carcinomas arising in African-American women, although a variety of histologic types have been reported in men and women. Local disease control must be obtained to achieve a good outcome. A variety of treatments including various combinations of radiation, surgery and chemotherapy have had success. However, because most experiences are very small, it is difficult to draw conclusions about relative efficacy of these approaches.
