Abstract
A number of complications typically arise when dealing with multiple parties and/or claims that make it difficult to analyze the value of litigating your case—and thereby to think about what a good settlement amount is. This chapter shows ways of handling a number of the most common problems. The approaches don’t involve new concepts, and, indeed, you can (or may have) come up with them yourself by using standard problem structuring techniques. If you haven’t, the discussion here will hopefully save your time for the more unique aspects of your case.
