Abstract
Hemicrania continua (HC) is rare in children and adolescents but poses a significant challenge for the diagnosis and treatment. Taking an accurate clinical history and a complete examination are of utmost importance. Most patients will require full investigations to exclude secondary causes of the headache using appropriate neuroimaging. Indomethacin is the treatment of choice as the response can be complete and within 2 weeks. Other options for treatment should be explored if indomethacin fails.
