Abstract
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is generally paucisymptomatic, except during the later stages of disease when complications of chronic HCV infection such as liver decompensation and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) occur. In this chapter we review the clinical features associated with acute and chronic HCV infection, including extrahepatic manifestations, and discuss factors associated with disease progression.
