Abstract
Over the decades a large number of people touched the life of Wally Schirra in so many ways, and he had a surprising recollection for people he had met, quite often attaching a pun to their names. One person who sometimes shared in Wally’s pressure-relieving “gotchas” during the early 1960s was a wonderfully talented woman who will be forever (and rightfully) linked to the Mercury space program. Her name was Cecelia Rose Bibby, better known to everyone as Cece, and she was a much loved and high-spirited graphic artist with a feisty sense of humor.
