Abstract
Earth’s two fluids, air and water circulate in response the regional differences in energy received from the Sun, transporting it to regions where it can be more effectively radiated back into space.
There is a river in the ocean. In the severest droughts it never fails, and in the mightiest of floods it never overflows. Its banks and its bottom are of cold water, while its current is warm. The Gulf of Mexico is its fountain, and its mouth is in the Arctic Sea. It is the Gulf Steam.
