Abstract

In this chapter, we summarize the various strategies for synthesizing BiOCl nanosheets and their facet-dependent properties, including facet-dependent photocatalytic activity, facet-dependent molecular oxygen activation, facet-dependent doping behaviors, and facet-dependent noble-metal deposition. We also highlight some crucial issues and provide tentative suggestions for future research in BiOCl photocatalysis.
