Abstract
The parameters of the equations of a satellite including the flexible modes and the gravitational coupling, are calculated following the theory developed for the flexible satellite. After, we illustrate the attitude stabilization with two different approaches: one nonlinear, providing a global stabilization, and the other using a classic linear technique, which works only in proximity of the equilibrium. We conclude with an example of the \(H_{\infty }\) design presented in the previous chapter using the mixed acceleration sensitivity method on a satellite with large flexible appendages.
