Abstract

This Chapter discusses the policy implications on energy production and usage. It also shows that RSA will have to invest more in its power sector in order to fight the chronic shortage of generating capacity. Although this will cost in the short run, it is shown to save money in the long run in terms of fuel expenditure and improved manufacturing productivity and confidence.
