Abstract
This chapter focuses on the energy resources in Southern Africa, which consists of 10 member states as per Africa Union recognition list, namely: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe (Fig. 3.1). There are a few independent states in the Indian Ocean that are often considered as being in the Southern Africa region but these will not be discussed. Only ten countries mentioned above are covered.
