Abstract
The main contribution reported in this thesis is the analysis, circuit modeling, and synthesis of transmission lines loaded with electrically small resonators (ESRs) in terms of symmetry considerations. It has been shown that the stopband characteristics (frequency, bandwidth, and/or attenuation) can be controlled as a function of symmetry-related electromagnetic properties.
