Abstract
There is the evidence of the efforts and commitments still needed in enhancing nuclear safety and security. These elements reflected the high degree of awareness of the challenges ahead and, having in mind the specificities of the national experiences. An independent scientific community, more transparency and openness by governments, and further improvements in the existing exchanges of data and the establishment of confidence building measures will play a key role.
