A Histological Study of the Barrier Effect of the Physis Against Metaphyseal Osteosarcoma

Abstract

In about half of the children affected by metaphyseal malignant bone tumors, the growth plate and epiphysis are not compromised by the tumor. Invasion of the epiphysis by the tumor seems to occur eventually but takes time.
