Abstract
This chapter will illuminate the meaning of constructing a pertinent and concise hypothesis regarding the function of a target behavior. It will explain the development of the hypothesis as it links to the targeted behavior. The reader will learn the “how-to’s” of writing a hypothesis statement to complete the functional behavioral assessment process.
