Abstract

The entire book is devoted to a rather specific subject: convergence to equilibrium, as t tends to infinity, of the solutions to autonomous differential equations generating a dissipative dynamical system on the positive halfline. In the introduction, we specify the functional framework under consideration and we explain why a theory is needed to understand the behavior of such systems. At the end the plan of the book is given.
