Abstract
Encephalitis is one of the most common causes of loss of consciousness among young people. Its symptoms can be mistaken for other neurological diseases and this leads to difficulty in diagnosis. Although prognosis varies by etiological factors, early recognition of symptoms and initiation of an effective treatment are extremely important. The following case scenario describes symptoms of encephalitis experienced by a young university student.
