Abstract
The arrival of war refugees from Vietnam into the United States took place in stages and were prompted to leave in large part because of the war in Vietnam. [Karnow, New York: Penguin, 1977]. Today, Vietnamese Americans comprise 2 million people. This chapter describes some of the circumstances related to their arrival in the United States, and preliminary data on their perceptions of medical care as relevant to cancer care.
