Abstract
This chapter describes the development of cancer care in Kazakhstan with special focus on prerequisites, sources, and conditions forming cancer care system. There are local cultural traditions influencing the morbidity rate. However, some features of cancer morbidity in Kazakhstan are similar to European ones. Also, measures taken and state programs are describes as well. Palliative care is a kind of interest because it reveals local peculiarities stemming from historical, economical, and other conditions.
