Abstract

This chapter reviews the main points in regard to the musculoskeletal system for POCUS (point of care ultrasound). The chapter reviews the use of various probes, scanning techniques, and terminology specific to the musculoskeletal system. Patient preparation, knobology, and approach to the patient are discussed. The anatomy and scanning of the bone, nerve, muscle, tendon, and ligament are reviewed. A number of common conditions seen in outpatient setting are demonstrated.
