Abstract
Laparoscopic oncology has become an acceptable approach to treating patients suffering from endometrial, cervical and ovarian cancer. The ability to laparoscopically evaluate the lymph-node status remains the cornerstone of laparoscopic surgical oncology. In this chapter we review both the oncologic significance of lymphonodectomy for different gynecologic cancers, explain the basic setup for these challenging procedures and finally explain step-by-step how to proceed when performing pelvic or paraaortic lymphonodectomy.
