Abstract

A 25-year-old African-American male presents with an 8-month history of “a lot of bumps on my head.” He first had one painful red bump on his crown, which he believed was an ingrown hair. He then developed additional bumps over the top of his head. There was associated “cheesy” drainage and alopecia. He attempted to apply his topical acne medications to the area with mild improvement. He has not had any fevers or chills.
