Abstract

A 62-year-old male is admitted with lower gastrointestinal bleeding and symptomatic anemia, his hemoglobin (Hgb) level is 5.0 g/dL. The patient has a known history of a warm autoantibody but no alloantibodies and was transfused two units of red blood cells (RBCs) 1 month ago at your hospital.
