Abstract

Treatment approaches for primary soft tissue sarcomas (STS) have generally employed multimodal management with large radiotherapy fields in both the pre- and postoperative settings. However, with more modern focus on minimizing treatment-related toxicity and the potential for focal dose escalation, techniques such as brachytherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy may have a greater role. Moreover, stereotactic radiotherapy may be employed in management of lung oligometastases, a hallmark of advanced STS.
