Nasal Pillow for Sleep Apnea Syndrome: Key Technical Determinants and Clinical Evidence

Abstract

Nasal pillows can be useful for patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome requiring continuous positive airway pressure ventilation at high pressures. Nasal pillows have been successfully adapted for use in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and comorbid chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which enables effective facilitation of activities of daily living.
