Abstract
Cisco Systems is a Silicon Valley success story, and it was one of the first companies to sell commercially successful routers supporting multiple network protocols. It is a leading supplier of networking products, systems and services, and it designs, manufactures and sells network equipment to customers around the world. Its products include routers, switches, remote access devices, Internet services devices, networking and network management software. These products link together geographically dispersed local area networks (LANs), wide area networks and the Internet itself.
It has revenue of approximately $47 billion and net income of $7.8 billion. The company has approximately 74,000 employees in various locations around the world.
