Abstract
This chapter studies a single-loop control system endowed with a communication network in the sensor-to-controller path. To reduce the use of the channel, we investigate a self-triggered control method based on model of the system at the controller side. The selection of the sampling times is made according to the solution of quadratic programming problems, for which efficient algorithms are available in the literature.
