Abstract

This chapter explores the DR in NWs of HD nonlinear optical materials based on a newly formulated electron dispersion relation considering all types of anisotropies of the energy band spectrum within the framework of k ·p formalism in the presence of Gaussian band tails as formulated in chapter two. We have also investigated the DR in NWs of HD III–V, II–VI, IV–VI, stressed Kane type materials, Te, GaP, PtSb2, Bi2Te3, Ge, GaSb, II–V, Lead Germanium Telluride, Zinc and Cadmium Diphosphides respectively on the basis of newly derived E-k relations under heavy doping. The real part of kx versus E plots for all the NWs are the series of quantized non-parabolae The Sect. 3.4 contains 19 open research problems, which form the integral part of this chapter.

The greatest thing in life is to keep the MIND YOUNG.
