Acute Abdomen After Abdominoplasty: Differential Diagnosis

  • Chapter
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of the Abdomen

Abstract

Patients often request abdominal wall contouring procedures due to excessive skin and fat following pregnancy, excessive weight loss, and fat maldistribution, which can lead to difficulties with exercise, sexual activities, fitting into clothing, and hygiene. The authors describe a scenario where a patient has acute abdominal pain after abdominoplasty. This is followed by the differential diagnosis of this problem.
