“Smile” Plication Abdominoplasty

Abstract

Abdominoplasty is one of the most common procedures performed in plastic surgery. The authors discuss the history of abdominoplasty, anatom, surgical technique, and possible complications. “SMILE” plication is a new technique of plication of the abdominal flap with good waist improvement without intra-abdominal pressure compromise or respiratory function compromise. The technique has a very short learning curve.
