Currently many universities face multiple new challenges caused by massive online open courses (MOOCs), financial crisis, and social transformation. However, these challenges could be considered as new prospects of university development. There is an attempt to look at e-learning as connected part of e-business in this paper. The research is dedicated to a new information and communication technologies (ICT) environment, prospective development of educational services, and learning innovations. A design of Web-based educational services is one of the approaches to university sustainability. The outcomes of innovative Web-service – a smart-book - development by MESI University and gained experience are described and analyzed in this paper.
