Abstract

Synchronization (and desynchronization) in neural structures is an essential condition of the normal functioning of the brain. It has been considered, for example, that distinct rhythms of slow brain activity occur as a result of synchronization (Elul in Int Rev Neurobiol 15(2):227–242, 1972; Guselnikov, Suping in Rhythmic activity of the brain. Moscow State University Press, Moscow, 1968). Violation of these rhythms can indicate pathology.
