Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of combining uncertainty and precision in CP-nets. Existing approaches extended the network either with probability distribution to manage uncertainty i.e. PCP-nets or through weights like WCP-nets. This paper combines both concepts in order to make preference expression more flexible to the user. The experimental study shows that the proposed Probabilistic Weighted CP-nets (so called PWCP-nets for short), compared to WCP-nets and PCP-nets can really enhance the expressiveness of user preferences.
