Abstract

The convolution integrals for calculation of the density of electron states in the surface layer n i+j (E i+j ) are considered in detail. The numerical values of this density function have been determined. For differentiation of surface energy with respect to the strain ε, according to Herring’s equation the extended Leibniz rule has been applied. The area of integration for the practical accomplishment of the convolution procedure is depicted.
