Abstract
The evaluation does not target a tissue, not even an organ, but a person who has certain ocular pathologies, which may benefit from surgery. Even if the actual process of examination, including the careful taking of the history, is short, it provides a baseline for comparison, whether or not surgery will actually be performed. The examination must find the correct balance between too much (unnecessary tests that have no influence on the decision-making) and too little (not enough information to make the right decision).
