Abstract

Fuzzy controllers (fuzzy sets) and a simulation system controlling a flood wave passing through a cascade of retention reservoirs have been implemented in the Matlab environment using the (Toolbox) Fuzzy module. As in previous issues, the design of controllers should be started by defining, marking and determining the FIS (Fuzzy Inference System).Then the defined fuzzy controllers will be employed in the control system. The control system has been developed in a Matlab/Simulink module. The control simulation for a flood wave passing through a hypothetical reservoir cascade has been carried out using synthetic data. Controller parameters were adjusted on the basis of many computer-aided simulations. The superordinate purpose of these simulations was to cut off (flatten) the flood wave peak as much as possible. The control system obtained in this way can be tested using historical flood waves that have occurred in the selected reservoir cascades (Chmielowski KSW, Z2 Informatyka.
