Abstract
This chapter covers the most common genitourinary interventions encountered in IR. Percutaneous nephrostomy drains are useful as an emergent measure for decompression of obstructed urinary collecting systems. Other procedures discussed in this chapter include renal artery angioplasty and stenting, suprapubic catheterization, and newer techniques such as prostatic artery embolization.
