Abstract
Over the last few years, interest rates offered by most lenders across industries have been gradually declining. One industry where no decline in finance charges has taken place is the credit card industry. An explanation for this may be the lack of sensitivity to interest rates by the borrowers. This paper examines the borrowers' awareness of finance charges by demographic variables.
