Abstract

Corticosteroids are a commonly used modality to address the inflammation associated with chronic rhinosinusitis. Oral corticosteroids deliver a higher concentration of anti-inflammatory to the tissues, but with that comes a higher risk of systemic complication. In this chapter, we review the common side effects of corticosteroids, the data associated with their use, and the current guidelines and expert opinion on their use for specific indications.
