Abstract
Increasing numbers of individuals and families originally from developing nations are responding to a lack of available jobs and economic, social, and political instability in their home countries by seeking work abroad; immigrating usually to developed countries. The following chapter intends to describe the occupational hazards, disease exposure, and health maintenance issues in immigrants with an illustrative clinical case.
