Gastric Cancer

Abstract

As the fifth most frequently diagnosed cancer worldwide, and the third most common cause of cancer-related deaths, gastric cancer represents a significant cause of global morbidity and mortality. Gastrointestinal endoscopy plays an integral role in the screening, surveillance, diagnosis, and staging of gastric cancer. This chapter reviews the most recent evidence-based clinical and endoscopic practice for adenocarcinoma of the stomach.
