Abstract
Power plants where gas turbines, operating in open cycle, are combined with steam cycles are particularly interesting for their high conversion efficiency. The combination of the two kinds of cycles is possible due to the high exhaust heat temperature of gas turbines, which depends on the maximal gas temperature and pressure ratio.
