Abstract

This paper has proposed a local adaptive fuzzy Petri net (LAFPN) which increases the adjustment ability of output function and the adaptive ability of parts of weights on the basis of fuzzy Petri nets using the simple and intuitive features of Petri net modeling. LAFPN only modifies the essential part of the weights to carry out longitudinal forecasting results of multiple-factor issues, it modifies the weight according to the local output value while predicting the result of a problem in order to adapt to the prediction of follow-up results. This paper has used the prediction of water shortage risk of Beijing as an example of the application of LAFPN. It can be seen that LAFPN can not only adjust the local weights according to the trend, but also react to changes quickly and predict the risk value accurately, it can provide the basis for the actual decision.
